Jui Jitsu is a defensive martial art that originates from the samurai of Japan. Its objective is to use an aggressor’s energy to their own disadvantage. This makes it perfect to practice by people of all sizes, age and strength. It is a progressive martial art that uses a system of throws, joint locks and strikes along with violence awareness and avoidance techniques 


As you progress though the belt structure you will learn to deal with increasingly demanding situations and scenarios and also understand how to manage panic and fear, which are key factors in any confrontation. 


Primarily Jitsu is used for self-defence but beyond this, training in Jitsu will help develop your self-confidence and self-esteem, your posture and demeanour (body language), and your strength and physical fitness. Jitsuka that have trained for some time have developed strength in character, and are fit and mentally robust. Above all, Jitsu is great fun and a great way to make new friends and form a new family. There is often a vibrant social life outside of training with many club, regional and national events throughout the year.
